I don't believe in elitism.
I believe that everyone is equal.
I am not a royalist. What a beautiful distraction the establishment have given us with the royal wedding. We are living in the worse recession or depression since the 1930's. We have massive unemployment, people that cannot afford to buy a decent house to live in and skyrocketing inflation. Wages haven't grown in real terms for a long time.
Never mind about the depression though at least we have the royal wedding to look forward to.
I wonder what Castro would have to say about it all.

The wealthy always have money to throw around. Depressions/recessions only hurt the average person.
I thought about getting up at 1am to watch the wedding (8 hours ahead in time difference) but I probably won't! I get up at 5:30am so I'm beat by 10pm LOL
I'm not sure what to make of the royal family anymore. The newspapers treat them like demigods but I wonder, what do the british people feel about them now? I've been gone so long I'm an expat here in the US with a british accent :P

I agree completely - I bloody hate the royals and any other so called elitist.
I couldn't care less where or when they were born, it doesn't give them any more right to anything on this planet than me or anyone else.
Throughout our entire history there have always been elitists who we allow to rule us and seem to worship as if they were gods - we're a strange species indeed!
I can't really understand anti-royalist sentiments anymore than I can understand the pro-royalists. Constitutional monarchies seem to work pretty well in most countries, though the UK one could be used more efficiently.
I think you make a very valid point about the economy. I didn't know it was bad though in Britain, you know us Americans only hear about our country. :P
But none the less, as long as we are happy and keep moving forward things should get brighter on all of our lands. I like your blog BTW. :)
